Forgotten cemetery

Since 1854 the cemetery of the “Ecole de Réforme de Ruyslede” for burying directors, staff members and in the beginning years also the
boarders from the institutions in Ruiselede and Beernem. Halfway the path stands the monument of Guillaume Poll, the first director of the institution, who died in 1867.  There are also a few graves from victims of the second world war.

Château Noisy

Château Noisy is a castle in the South of Belgium, built in 1866 as a summer residence for the family Liedekerke-Beaufort. They lived there until after the second world war.
After the war the castle was used by the NMBS as an orphanage. It’s been empty since 1991 and in a very decayed state.
